Thane: A 21-year-old man was injured when plaster from the ceiling of a flat fell on him in Maharashtra's Thane city, a civic official said on Wednesday.

The incident took place around 11.30 pm on Tuesday night in a 50-year-old three-storey building in Kopri area of ​​the city.

Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) disaster management cell chief Yasin Tadvi said, "Resident Aniket Murtudkar suffered minor leg injuries in the plaster falling incident. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was treated." ,

Residents of the affected flats have been shifted elsewhere, he said, adding that there have been cracks in the pillars of the building.

Tadvi said there are 22 flats in the building and municipal officials will inspect its condition on Wednesday to decide further action.
