Thane, May 7 ( ) A 28-year-old man has been arrested from Navi Mumbai for possessing 55 grams of mephedrone worth Rs 5.50 lakh, an official said on Tuesday.
He said that the accused has been identified as Wasim Anwar Bajkhan, who was caught near Belapu Creek late on Monday night on the basis of a tip-off, and his accomplice is being searched.
Police said that the accused and his associate are residents of Mumbra in Thane district.
A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
