Thane, Maharashtra Police in Thane city have arrested a 24-year-old man for allegedly stealing laptops worth Rs 14 lakh which he was supposed to deliver to a logistics company's warehouse in Gujarat, an official said on Tuesday. .
Senior inspector Nishikant Vishwakar of Kongaon police station of Bhiwandi division said the police caught the accused Mushrif Khan (24) during an all-O operation on Monday based on the complaint of a transporter.
Khan was handed over 21 laptops worth Rs 14 lakh from the warehouse of a logistics company in Bhiwandi, which were to be delivered to warehouses in Baroda and Ahmedabad in Gujarat on May 7, he said.
A Bhiwandi police team, during an all-out operation, located and interrogated the accused and recovered some of the stolen laptops, the official said.
