New Delhi, Delhi Traffic Police on Sunday said a total of 101,164 cases of pollution control certificate (PUCC) violations were registered in the first four months of 2024.

This is 30 per cent more than the violations recorded last year, which were 78,169 challans during the same period - between January 1 and April 30, official data from Delhi Traffic Police showed.

"We have conducted a comprehensive analysis of the top ten traffic circles, including Model Town, Karol Bagh, Najafgarh, Dwarka, Punjabi Bagh and Tila Nagar, where the highest number of challans were issued in 2024," a senior Delhi police officer said. Traffic police said.
