Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday expressed happiness and said that a new history will be created on June 9 when Modi will take oath. Swearing in as PM for the third time.
The BJP-led NDA held a meeting of its newly elected MPs in the Central Hall of Parliament on Friday to elect Narendra Modi as its leader ahead of the swearing-in ceremony on Sunday. He was elected as the leader of BJP and leader of NDA parliamentary party.
Addressing a press conference in Bhopal, CM Yadav said, "On June 4, the Prime Minister received the public mandate to form his government with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). I convey my congratulations to him. Tomorrow, He was chosen as the leader." NDA members unanimously congratulated him and said tomorrow will write a new history and a new chapter when Modi will take oath as Prime Minister for the third time at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday evening.
He said, "All the party workers, MLAs, ministers, chief ministers and 142 crore people of the country including me are waiting for the holy day tomorrow. I will go there tomorrow afternoon to attend the swearing-in ceremony."
He further shared information about the initiatives of his government for the welfare of the state.
"On June 5, I started 'Jal Ganga Augmentation Campaign' at the origin of Betwa river in Raisen district. Under this campaign, the water sources of the state are being conserved and cleaned. This campaign will run in the entire state till June 16. " We have started 990 works worth Rs 3,090 crore for water conservation."
Work to repair water sources and protect the environment is being done across the state. CM further said, after this the state government has also decided to plant about 5.5 crore saplings in the state.
