HYDERABAD: Top BJP leader Amit Shah on Saturday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will continue to lead the country even after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and hit out at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for claiming that the Prime Minister will make Shah his successor. Shah told reporters here that there is nothing written about any such age limit in the BJP's constitution. There was no confusion in BJP on this matter.
Shah was responding to Kejriwal's claim that Modi was seeking votes to make the Union Home Minister the PM as the Prime Minister will turn 75 next year.
He said, “I want to tell Arvind Kejriwal and company and the entire Indian alliance that Modi turns 75, there is no need to be happy.This is not written anywhere in the BJP constitution. Kejriwal had alleged that Modi was seeking votes for Shah.

The Home Minister also expressed confidence that the BJP will emerge as the fifth largest party in South India in terms of Lok Sabha seats.
He said, BJP is confident of winning more than 10 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana.
In his address at a rally in Vikarabad, Shah reminded that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had conducted the nuclear test in Pokhran on the same day in 1999 and made the country a nuclear power.He alleged that Congress does not have the courage to call surgical strike an air strike.
He said that PM Modi conducted surgical strike and air strike within 10 days of Pakistani terrorists attacking the country and 'eliminated' them.
Referring to Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar and National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah's alleged comments about Pakistan having a nuclear bomb, the Home Minister said he would like to ask Rahul Gandhi whether PoK will be given to the neighboring country as it has a nuclear bomb. Reddy on Friday claimed that there was intelligence failure in preventing the 2019 Pulwama incident when around 40 CRP personnel were killed in a terrorist attack on Indian soldiers.
"Modi ji tried to take political advantage from the surgical strike after the Pulwam incident.My question to Modi ji is, what are you doing? Why did Pulwam incident happen? Why did you let this happen? What are you doing about internal security?
Reddy had said, "Why did you not use agencies like IB, RAW? This is your failure. No one knows whether the surgical strike actually took place or not."
