Hitting out at the Prime Minister for not fulfilling his promises on unemployment, Siddaramaiah said the Prime Minister has betrayed the trust of the educated youth. 'You believed PM Modi when he promised to create two crore jobs per year., All the Indians agreed but, when you asked for a job, they said- "Go and sell pakodas." Is this not a betrayal of educated young men and women by PM Modi? Was he not betraying Indians?'' Chief Minister said Criticizing the Narendra Modi government for its brutal resistance to farmers' protests, Siddaramaiah said the time has come to answer them, ''Are the protesters? Isn't Modi government's atrocities on farmers double? Betrayal? The brutality of BJP on farmers demanding minimum support price for their crops was very high. "Now is the time to teach them a lesson for those atrocities," Siddaramaiah said. Karnataka, which has 28 Lok Sabha seats, will go to polls in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in two phases on April 26 and May 7.
