Bhubaneswar: According to the Election Commission of India, BJP is leading in 80 assembly seats in Odisha.

On the other hand, Biju Janata Dal candidates were leading in 50 constituencies out of 147 assembly seats in the state, with trends available till 3.15 pm.

Congress is ahead on 15 seats, CPI (M) is ahead on one seat while an independent candidate is ahead on one seat.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is leading in both the assembly seats Hinjili and Kantabanji.

At least eight ministers of the Naveen Patnaik cabinet are trailing in the Odisha assembly elections.

Forest and Environment Minister Pradeep Kumar Amat, Works Minister Prafulla Kumar Mallick, Higher Education Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Transport Minister Tukuni Sahu, Science and Technology Minister Ashok Chandra Panda, Finance Minister Bikram Keshari Arukha, Handloom and Textiles Minister Rita Sahu and Women and Children According to ECI, Development Minister Basanti Hembram is lagging behind.

CPI(M) candidate and sitting MLA Laxman Munda is leading in Bonai assembly constituency.

Other prominent BJD leaders Debi Prasad Mishra, Kallikesh Narayan Singh Deo, Sushant Singh, Ramesh Chandra Chiau Patnaik, Prafulla Samal, Snehangini Chhuria, Pushpendra Singh Deo, Ramesh Majhi and Dibya Shankar Mishra are trailing.
