The NTA submitted in the courts that the representation of the candidates would be decided on the basis of the recommendations of the grievance committee.

The committee reviewed the complaints and appeals using factual reports from officials and CCTV footage of the respective examination centres.They quantified the time lost during the exam and provided compensation to the affected candidates by awarding them marks based on their answering efficiency and the time they lost.

To deal with the concerns arising from the allocation of compensatory marks, the NTA has opted to form a committee to investigate the matter.

Meanwhile, the Education Ministry has set up a committee to review the grace marks given to over 1,500 candidates. Many candidates alleged that due to increase in marks, 67 candidates have secured the top rank, six of whom are from the same exam center in Haryana.
