Addressing a Lok Sabha election rally in Calangute, Naik said that people who were looking for jobs have now become job providers by getting into business.

“Not everyone can get a government job, so many platforms have been created by the government to venture into business. People who were looking for jobs have today provided jobs to others through start-ups and other business activities,” Naik said.

He said that the country has developed under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and it is getting respect from all over the world.

“There was a perception abroad that India was a country of the poor. But now the picture has changed. Today, we are considered a powerful country that can help others,” Naik said.

He said that with the help of the Central Government, Goa has achieved success in development works.

“Being a tourism state, we have created infrastructure with the help of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We got funds to develop the coastal area. In this way we could develop facilities. Goa got about Rs 36 thousand crore for developmental works,” Naik said while urging them to vote.

“For the last 25 years, you have supported me and got elected. I am hopeful that this time too I will get support and will be re-elected,” Naik said.
