NOIDA (UP): A team from the Gautam Buddh Nagar administration has been sent to coordinate relief measures for three district residents injured in a terrorist attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Monday.

Two women and a man from Greater Noida area of ​​Gautam Buddha Nagar district were among the 41 people injured in the attack, which also left nine dead.

District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma said, "Three residents of Gautam Buddh Nagar were injured in the incident. These include a man (Bunty) and two sisters (Meera and Lakshmi)."

He said that a four-member team from Gautam Buddh Nagar has been sent to Jammu and Kashmir to coordinate relief and other measures for them.

"The coordination team is headed by Additional District Magistrate Bhairav ​​and also includes an Assistant Police Commissioner and a Naib Tehsildar of the district," Verma said.

According to officials, people from Uttar Pradesh injured in the attack include three from this district, 10 from Balrampur district, eight from Gonda district and four from the same family from Gorakhpur.

Terrorists opened fire on a 53 seater bus going from Shiv Khori temple to Katra. Following the hail of bullets, the bus veered off the road and fell into a deep ditch near Teriyath village in Poni area, resulting in several casualties.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday night termed the incident as a "cowardly attack".
