On April 12, Noida International Airport entered into a concession agreement with Bird Group to provide ground handling resources and services at the airport. The partnership aims to ensure efficient and seamless ground-handling activities at the airport, enhancing the overall passenger experience.Under the agreement, Bird Group will assume broad responsibilities for the ground handling project. It includes a comprehensive set of services aimed at enhancing the passenger experience. This includes everything from ensuring a warm welcome for every passenger to smooth RAM operations and careful attention to luggage. The focus is on creating an environment that prioritizes efficiency and passenger satisfaction. Earlier in November last year, Noida International Airport had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IndiGo Airlines. The partners have named IndiGo as the inaugural carrier for NIA.The agreement outlines a strategic partnership between NIA and IndiGo, with the primary focus on enhancing air connectivity within Uttar Pradesh and expanding beyond its borders. This synergy is expected to lead to exploration of innovative concepts aimed at operational efficiency and better customer experience. The first phase of Noida International Airport will be operational by the end of 2024, with one runway and one terminal capable of handling 1 million passengers annually. Upon completion of all four development phases, the airport aims to accommodate 70 million passengers every year, strengthening its position as a major aviation hub.
