The National Commission for Women (NCW) said that timely submission of action taken reports (ATR) by the concerned authorities has revealed several important findings.

The NCW claimed, “A woman complainant came to the Commission to lodge a complaint against three persons dressed in civil uniform, who allegedly posed as Karnataka Police officers and pressurized her to give a false complaint in the matter. "

In a separate development, the NCW said, it has been noted that the 700 women who submitted online complaints are associated with a social activist group and have no direct involvement or connection with the primary complainant in the case.

"The NCW would like to state that 700 women have not given any complaint to the NC regarding the Prajwal Revanna case. Some media channels are misreporting the same," the commission said in a post.
