Channapatna (Karnataka) [India], Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Wednesday dismissed allegations of any scam in allotment of MUDA (Mysore Urban Development Authority) sites and said there have been no scams during the tenure of Congress in the state.

Speaking to the media after the 'Government Around the Corner' program in the taluk, he said, "All the scams that the state witnessed took place during the BJP's rule. We will respond to all allegations during the session ".

When asked about the experimental blast at Baby Hills in Mandya district, he clarified: "Quarries near KrishnaRajaSagara Dam (KRS Dam) take all necessary measures to carry out controlled blasts. Blasts can only be carried out after a specified distance from the prey."

Asked if Kumaraswamy's 'Jana Samparka' programs in Mandya were copies of his 'Government at Your Doorstep' programmes, he said: "Let him do it. It is good for the people that leaders do programs like this, even if it is a copy of another person."

Replying to a question about the announcement of candidates in the by-elections, he said: "Let the dates of the elections be announced. Then the candidates will come and submit their nominations."

When asked about lawyer Devaraje Gowda's allegation that D. K. Shivakumar was behind his arrest, he said, "It's good that he remembers me."

On the question of whether there was a deadline for processing the statements received during the public events in Channapatna, he said, "All the statements will be reviewed and genuine statements will be identified. The statements will be separated according to different departments." and meetings will be held with the respective ministers to resolve these problems. "I will also personally supervise the distribution of the sites to the people."

"Many things need to be changed in Channapatna regarding the municipality, taluk office and taluk hospital. There is a mortuary in taluk. There are many homeless people. I don't know why these things were not done earlier, but we will make sure for these things to be done quickly," he added.
