Chikkaballapur (Karnataka) [India], former Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai stated that no power can oppose the power of the people.

He commented that the local MLAs were not aware of this and believed that they could win by simply staying in power. However, Sudhakar's victory has demonstrated the strength of people power, Bommai noted.

Speaking at an event in honor of Chikkaballapur MP K. Sudhakar, Bommai mentioned that he did not feel sorry for Sudhakar's defeat in the last elections, but regretted that the work was not progressing. Despite his position, Sudhakar will always be in Chikkaballapur, Bommai added, highlighting that people's support has given Sudhakar a chance.

Bommai praised Sudhakar's work over the last 15 years and noted that he had earned him significant support and victory. The village's connection with Sudhakar had attracted him to this holistic development opportunity. By electing Sudhakar, people have allowed him to realize all his dreams, as Bommai highlighted.

The former prime minister hailed Sudhakar's initiative of distributing 25,000 land plots, calling it a revolution. He also mentioned Sudhakar's efforts to resign to set up a medical college, which is now not adequately serving patients due to the inefficiency of the Congress government.

Bommai criticized the Congress government for not providing subsidies and declared it bankrupt, predicting that he would soon be unable to pay salaries to government employees.

Bommai lashed out at the state government, saying that it had not done anything significant and had only ruined the farmers. He said the Congress government was simply out to cling to power instead of serving the people.

He accused Congress of not properly distributing the relief provided by the central government and mentioned that during his tenure they had provided double the relief. He criticized the current government for suspending scholarships for students, saying that the government was only focused on securing posts for the CM and MCD.

He mentioned that Sudhakar had worked hard to set up an independent dairy union for the district, but the Congress government had canceled it. Bommai urged everyone to unite under Sudhakar's leadership to demand the necessary dairy union for the farmers of the region.

Bommai asserted that there is definitely a bright future ahead for the BJP and the JD(S), stating that the regional party has former prime ministers as its leaders.
