Hyderabad: A 46-year-old doctor working at the government-run Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences allegedly ended her life at her home here, police said.
He said that the deceased is also a professor in the anesthesia department of the hospital and it is suspected that he had injected himself with anesthesia on June 5.
She went to the flat on June 5 after leaving for hospital duty, but when she was not responding to phone calls, her husband, also a doctor, reached home and found the door locked from inside. He broke the door with the help of neighbors and found his wife in an unconscious state, a police officer from Begumpet police station said on Sunday.
He was taken to the hospital where he was declared brought dead, the officer said.
The officer said that the reasons behind his taking this step are being investigated. Case registered.
