The actress had acted in Kumar Sanu's song 'Tera Mera Pyaar' before working in a few commercials for television.
In 2012, she made her film debut with a small role in the English film 'One Night with the King', before starring in the crime thriller 'Peddlers' directed by Vasan Bala.
Speaking to IANS about her journey, Nimrat said, "A lot has happened. I have learned a lot. And I have enjoyed every part of it. 'Tera Mera Pyaar' was my first work on camera. I Just came to Mumbai." ..I was very lucky that I found my way, and the world of advertising opened up before me, I did a lot of advertising after that.
She further added, "I have always been a student of life as an actor, and I have tried to learn whatever medium I have discovered. When I did 'The Test Case', it was one of the few web series being made in India. I have enjoyed every turn of this journey, and have tried not to rest on past achievements or repeat 'what was that experience again' in life. "
Nimrat, who last acted in the film 'Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video', said that she enjoys the reality of life, adding that everything comes with its own problems and excitement.
"I don't feel like it's been 20 years... It feels like a lot, it feels like a lot. What happens to actors is when you're playing a role, a part of your life. And your years go by. It's so interesting when you look back, I just love experiencing my life through people and their reactions and understanding," she added.
