As part of the investigation of the case, on Thursday, raids were conducted on the premises of six suspects in Badegobra village, a Naxal-affected area of ​​Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh.

Several mobile phones along with cash worth Rs 2,98,000 were seized during searches from the premises of the suspects working as overground workers (OGWs) and supporters of the Mainpur-Nuapara division of the banned Naxalite outfit.

A head constable of the 615th Battalion of the Indo-Tibetan Battalion Police (ITBP) was injured in the attack in November 2023.

The NIA, which took over the case in February 2024, had identified Naxalite cadres as the perpetrators of the attack.
