Bilaspur: An infant died and more than 30 passengers were injured when a private bus overturned in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh on Sunday. Police gave this information.
An official said that the accident occurred near Lalkhadan flyover under Torwa police station area here when the bus was going from Bilaspur city towards Sarangarh city at around 11 am.
He said some passersby called an ambulance and informed the police.
An infant died and injured persons were taken to Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) and other hospitals, he said.
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has directed the District Collector to ensure proper arrangements for the injured persons.
Sai said in a post on 'X', "Received the sad news of the death of a girl and injuries to 30-35 passengers when a bus overturned near Bilaspur. The injured have been admitted to CIMS and District Hospital. Collector has been instructed to make proper arrangements for the injured persons.
