Prayagraj (UP), Senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh on Sunday claimed that the new government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will fall in a year as it is expected to fail to meet the expectations of NDA constituents.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader cited examples where one NDA government lasted just 13 days and another fell within 13 months, saying the new government at the Center would also meet the same fate.

In an apparent reference to Modi, Singh said, "He is not going to work as per the expectations of (NDA) constituents. He will continue with his attitude of breaking political parties," the Rajya Sabha MP said.

Singh said, "I would like to tell TDP and JDU that you should make your speaker, otherwise there is no guarantee as to how many MPs from your party will break away and join them."

Along with Modi, senior BJP leaders including Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman and S Jaishankar, all ministers of the Modi 2.0 cabinet, took oath as cabinet ministers at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
