Hyderabad, AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday alleged that the three new criminal laws that came into effect from July 1 will now be used more against the poor, weaker sections, Muslims, tribals and Dalits.

Addressing a seminar here, Owaisi claimed that the three new criminal laws - the Indian Justice Code (BNS), the Indian Civil Defense Code (BNSS) and the Indian Evidence Act (BSA), would curtail the rights of the common people and the police. Will give wide rights to. (to take action against someone)

"These new (criminal) laws will now be used more than ever against the poor, weaker sections, Muslims, tribals and Dalits," the Hyderabad MP claimed.

He said that there is no mention (in the new laws) as to what action will be taken against the police if they commit any mistake.

The AIMIM chief further said, "The new laws are even more dangerous than UAPA-Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act." He said one can imagine how these laws will be used.
