TEL AVIV [Israel], Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement to his coalition partners on Wednesday, asking them to "get control of themselves." The statement came as coalition partners complained about the laws that were provided for in the coalition agreement to be passed.
“We are fighting on many fronts and face great challenges and difficult decisions,” Netanyahu said. “Therefore, I demand that all coalition partners control themselves and understand the importance of time.”
"This is not the time for petty politics or legislation to jeopardize the coalition that is fighting for victory over our enemies," he said. “We must all focus solely on our tasks: defeating Hamas, returning all our hostages, and returning our residents in both the North and the South safely to their homes.”
Netanyahu demanded that all 64 of his coalition members in the Knesset (out of 120) should "put aside every other consideration. Put aside all outside interests. Unite, together, stand behind our fighters. Should be."
