New Delhi: Students' protest at Jantar Mantar here against irregularities in the examinations - NEET UG, PG and UGC NET - conducted by NTA ended on Monday.

On Wednesday last week, hundreds of students started an indefinite strike under the banner of "India Against NTA" against the news of rigging in the said examinations.

The demands of the students who ended their strike on the sixth day here include ban on NTA and resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

The students were also demanding re-examination of NEET-UG and restoration of the old university specific entrance examination system.

Members of Left-affiliated AISA and Delhi University's KYS were among other student organizations that took part in the protest.

On the sixth day of the strike, students gathered at Jantar Mantar here and raised "anti-NTA" slogans demanding Pradhan's resignation.

He ended his indefinite strike without giving any reason.
