New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry on Saturday said it has decided to postpone the NEET-PG entrance exam scheduled for June 23 as a "precautionary measure" in view of recent allegations over the sanctity of some competitive exams.

The Health Ministry has decided to thoroughly evaluate the robustness of the processes of NEET-PG entrance examination conducted by the National Board of Examination (NTA) for medical students.

"Accordingly, as a precautionary measure, it has been decided to postpone the NEET-PG entrance examination scheduled for tomorrow, June 23, 2024," the ministry said.

It said that the new date of this examination will be notified as soon as possible.

"The Ministry of Health sincerely regrets the inconvenience caused to the students. This decision has been taken in the best interest of the students and to maintain the sanctity of the examination process," the ministry said.
