Latur: Many candidates and parents who reached the examination centers for the NEET-PG examination to be held on Sunday were not aware that it had been postponed and raised allegations of irregularities in the examinations conducted by the National Testing Agency. Expressed regret and said that this had already increased their stress and tension.

The Union Health Ministry on Saturday had said it was postponing NEET-PG as a "precautionary measure" in view of recent allegations on the integrity of some competitive exams.

The Union Health Ministry said it is thoroughly evaluating the robustness of the processes of the NEET-PG entrance exam conducted by NTA for medical students. It said that the new date of this examination will be notified as soon as possible.

"We came to Nanded after covering a distance of 150 kilometers to reach my daughter's NEET-PG exam centre. It was only after reaching there that we came to know that it has been postponed. It is a tragedy for my daughter as well as us. It's also very stressful." Sunita Narwade, headmistress of a government-aided school in Beed district, said.

Student Sakshi Shitole said, "The postponement of NEET-PG has made me sad. I was eager to appear for it as I had been preparing for it for months. Students of our country are feeling insecure and the examination system Losing faith in me."
