New Delhi: Wrong question papers were distributed at a NEET exam center in Rajasthan on Sunday, with some candidates walking out with the papers, the National Testing Agency (NTA) said, adding that the integrity of the exam process has not been compromised.

NTA senior director Sadhna Parashar said the exam was later re-conducted for 120 affected candidates at the centre.

According to NTA sources, question papers were distributed to some candidates in languages ​​other than the medium of their choice, due to which they had to leave the centre.

"During the NEET-UG examination, it came to notice that in an examination centre, Girls Higher Secondary Model School, Mantown, Sawai Madhopur, there was an incident of mis-distribution of question papers by the center superintendent despite the efforts of the invigilators to prevent the same. Parashar said, 'Some candidates went out of the examination center with question papers.,

"To maintain the principles of fairness and level playing field for all candidates, NTA has taken proactive steps. Many social media posts alleged that the question paper had been leaked. However, NTA has denied any possibility of leak. In 2023, a total of 20,87,449 candidates had registered for NEET-UG and the exam was conducted on May 7.NTA had recorded 97.7 percent attendance in the exam.
