New Delhi: Congress will hold protests at all state headquarters on Friday demanding justice for students over alleged irregularities in the medical entrance exam NEET.

In a letter to all state unit chiefs, Congress legislature party leaders, state in-charges, general secretaries and other top functionaries, Congress general secretary in-charge organisation, KC Venugopal, said there is an urgent need to address the many grievances and concerns surrounding the pandemic. He said, “As you know, the National Testing Agency (NTA) had released the results of NEET-UG 2024 on June 4, 2024. The results may be spoiled due to allegations of irregularities and paper leaks after inflated marks of some candidates. went.,

Venugopal said there were a lot of concerns over inflated marks and irregularities and awarding grace marks without disclosing the methodology raises suspicion.

"The examination has been marred by technical glitches, malpractices and unfair means in some examination centres. Organized corruption is evident from the arrests in Bihar, Gujarat and Haryana, revealing the pattern of malpractices in BJP-ruled states," he said.

Venugopal said that the Supreme Court has also highlighted the seriousness of these allegations and has demanded zero tolerance towards negligence.

He said, “Such irregularities undermine the credibility of the examination process and jeopardize the future of countless dedicated students.The Congress party in its manifesto had promised to secure the future of the youth by implementing strict laws against paper leaks."
