Lucknow: The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday said that a NEET aspirant who had alleged in his plea that the NTA failed to declare his result and his OMR answer sheet was found torn, had submitted forged documents and the NTA would face legal action in the matter. Can take action.

This happened when the National Testing Agency, on the instructions of the Lucknow bench of the High Court, produced the original OMR answer sheet of the student before it, which was found to be intact.

Student Ayushi Patel claimed in her petition that NTA sent her a message saying that her result would not be declared as her OMR sheet was found torn. He had also posted a video on social media reiterating the allegations that had created a stir amid the ongoing controversy over claims of irregularities in the conduct of the undergraduate medical entrance exam NEET.

The petitioner had demanded that the evaluation of his OMR sheet be done manually.He had also demanded an investigation against NTA and demanded stopping of counseling for admission.

The vacation bench of Justice Rajesh Singh had on June 12 asked the NTA to produce the original records of the student.

In compliance with the order, NTA Deputy Director Sandeep Sharma presented the original documents of the student along with the affidavit.

After looking at the documents, the court found that the student had filed the petition on the basis of fake documents. The court termed this as regrettable and said that NTA is free to take legal action in this matter.

At the same time, the petitioner's lawyer sought permission to withdraw the petition, which was accepted by the court.

NTA told the court that NTA has already taken the decision to take legal action against the petitioner student.

The court said that the petitioner has submitted fake documents and in such a situation this court cannot stop NTA from taking legal action against the student.

Reacting to Patel's video, which was shared by Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi among others, the NTA had on June 12 said that her paper was still intact and it was a case of forgery on the part of the candidate whose actual score Less than claimed.An official said, "No torn OMR answer sheet was sent from any official NTA email, and the genuine OMR is available and not torn. Moreover, all the results are available online."
