Officials said PVSLN Murthy, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NEDFI, handed over the amount to Mission Foundation Movement, a reputed NGO of Mizoram, in the presence of Chief Minister Lal Duhavma.
Guwahati-based NEDFI, a non-banking finance company registered with the RBI, provided the relief assistance as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The chief minister expressed his gratitude to the NEDFI CMD for the vital support extended to the state, an official statement said.
NEDFI General Manager Ashim Kumar Das apprised the Chief Minister about the services of the corporation aimed at promoting entrepreneurship in the state.
He highlighted the Banana Fiber Craft Cluster promoted by NEDFI at Sesawang village under the CSR program of the Corporation.
