"In the recent Lok Sabha elections, the NDA is leading in 177 assembly constituencies in Bihar, indicating the possibility of a major success in the upcoming state elections in 2025," he said here on Thursday.

Earlier, Jha was warmly welcomed by party leaders and workers on his arrival in Patna for the first time after becoming the national working president of JD-U.

In his address, the JD-U working president expressed confidence in Nitish Kumar's leadership and refuted claims that Kumar's political influence was waning. He said that despite RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav's extensive campaign and about 250 public rallies during the Lok Sabha elections, the results came in favor of NDA.

On this occasion, Jha also reiterated the demand for special status or special package for the state.

He stressed that the NDA government at the Center is "committed to helping make Bihar a developed state within the next five years."
