New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's annual 'Pariksha pe Charcha' initiative could soon be recreated for a virtual platform, with the NCERT working on a proposal to develop a portal to host his speeches and allow students to capture selfies with him on a interactive 2D format. /3D environment.

The move comes against the backdrop of a furious dispute over alleged irregularities in the competitions, with the opposition raising questions about the credibility of the exam processes in the country.

The opposition has attacked Modi, demanding that he too hold such an interaction on the NEET issue of medical entrance exam.

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) this week released an expression of interest (EoI) document to identify vendors to develop the Pariksha Pe Charcha virtual exhibition.

The plan is to develop a virtual platform with a 2D/3D interactive environment with features to facilitate participation and interaction of attendees.

The proposal says the plan is to attract at least one million online visitors annually.

"The aim is to recreate 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' in a virtual format, allowing audiences across the country to experience the event throughout the year from the comfort of their homes. The virtual platform will showcase the art, craft and innovation projects carried out. by students, providing inspiration and motivation to others," according to the EoI document.

"The experience will be an immersive 3D/2D experience, similar to the physical exhibition, offering attendees a unique and engaging virtual environment," he added.

The virtual exhibition will feature an exhibition hall, an auditorium, a selfie zone, a question zone and a leaderboard.

“There could be a dedicated selfie area to allow attendees to capture selfies with the Honorable Prime Minister, post them on a selfie wall or download and share them on social media.

"The auditorium will feature speeches and addresses by the Prime Minister of India and esteemed ministers as well as essential sessions and debates required for students," he added.

The virtual exhibition hall on the proposed web platform will have booths that will host exhibition projects of arts, crafts and science students.

“Each booth could feature a 3D/2D avatar of the student along with their exhibits in 3D/2D interactive format (paintings and sculptures) or a video recording of the program or a 2D exhibit,” she added.

Launched in 2018, 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' (PPC) is an annual event where Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacts with students, teachers and parents on ways to address exam-related stress.

The 7th edition of PPC in January this year recorded 2.26 crore and was held. It is broadcast live through television and social media platforms.

Students are selected through an online multiple-choice quiz contest, whose topics are shared with schools across the country.
