New Delhi: State-owned NBCC Ltd, which has redeveloped a residential complex in East Kidwai Nagar here, has restored parking and lift facilities in the project which was hit due to heavy rains and blocking of drains.

In a statement, NBCC, which is also maintaining the complex, acknowledged the difficulties faced by residents due to the recent heavy rains.

It said, "The water that overflowed through the Barapula (drain) entered the parking areas of the colony through the ramp, which was designed only for vehicular traffic. The NBCC maintenance team removed the water from the underground parking areas. Successfully removed and restarted all lifts." ,

It said the team has worked tirelessly day and night to ensure that amenities are restored for residents and occupants.

"NBCC dewatered approximately 16 crore liters of water spread over 40 acres, which was done on war footing so that normal facilities could be restored. This was done in a record 24 hours especially by procuring and using dewatering motors on an urgent basis. Was,” the statement said.

NBCC said it ensured uninterrupted water and power supply during the rains and despite the floods.
