Sukma (Chhattisgarh): Naxalites in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district killed their former comrade, who had abandoned weapons and was leading a normal life, police said on Sunday.
A police officer said that according to preliminary information, Barse Masa was fatally attacked with sharp weapons in Sanpenta village under Kistaram police station area late on Saturday evening.
He said that after receiving information about the incident this morning, the police registered a case and started searching for the attackers.
Masa, who was associated with the banned CPI (Maoist) since 2010, recently surrendered before police in neighboring Andhra Pradesh. He later shifted to Sanpenta village, the officer said. or tkp nsk
