New Delhi: The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested a member of Nasir Gana who was wanted on charges of MCOC Act and murder, police said on Tuesday.

He told that a few months ago the city police had received information about Danish Jamal's activities in Delhi.

Jamal is the cousin of gangster Nasir, who is jailed under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime (MCOC) Act. Jamal, Adil and Badar were running the gang.

Police said he was arrested from Bhopal on April 16 along with his associate Gaurav.

“After gathering information, it was revealed that Jamal was hiding in Uttar Pradesh and would be in Delhi. But later we came to know that Jamal had gone to Bhopal with Gaurav. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Pratiksha Godara said, the team arrested him from Bhopal on April 16.

The DCP said Jamal has a long history of committing heinous crimes for more than 15 years and his associate Gaurav is a declared criminal in a murder case.
