ISLAMABAD: Yusha Nafees and Dhruv Bopana made a winning start to their campaign at the 31st Asian Junior Individual Squash Championship by easily defeating their opponents here on Tuesday.
Sixth seeded Nafees defeated local challenger Ubaid Ullah 11-7, 10-12, 11-5, 11-4 in the boys' under-17 category, while in the boys' category, Bopana defeated Iran's Amirreza Alvansaz Yazdi 11-11. Defeated 4, 11-2, 11-7. 'U-13 Section.
Lokesh Subramani lost to Sim Yek Wei in the first round of the boys Under-15 category, with the Malaysian winning 7-11, 11-4, 11-5, 11-2.
Other Indians in the field have received byes in the first round.
