Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Tuesday claimed that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance in Maharashtra will win maximum seats in the Lok Sabha elections and will be among the top five states that will contribute if India is united. The government is formed at the centre.

Thackeray also claimed that after the split in Shiv Sena, the faction led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had sent a message to his party not to call him a "gaddaar" (traitor). Thackeray said, “But then a traitor is a traitor.”

"MVA will win maximum seats and Maharashtra will be among the first five states when it forms the Indian coalition government," Thackeray said at the AB Majha Conclave.

Thackeray dodged a question on alliance with Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and claimed he never made personal attacks against anyone.

He said, "We never gave unconditional support to the BJP. Our only condition was that it would protect the self-respect of Maharashtra at any cost."

MNS President Raj Thackeray has announced unconditional support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his third term as Prime Minister.
