This is due to the forecast of heavy rain in Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts, and new dates for Tuesday's exams will be announced soon.

Meanwhile, all Center for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) examinations scheduled to be held on the morning of July 8, postponed, will now be held on Saturday (July 13) at the same venue and time announced earlier.

In view of the forecast of heavy rain, all schools and colleges in Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg have been ordered to remain closed for the second consecutive day on Tuesday.

Mumbai, Mumbai Metropolitan Region and coastal Konkan have been receiving heavy rains since early Monday morning, resulting in the loss of life of a senior female citizen and normal life being severely affected.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is forecast in these areas for the day, with a similar warning given for other parts of the state as all agencies have gone into high alert mode, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and other top Officials are monitoring the situation.
