Mumbai: Mumbai Police has intensified security measures to maintain law and order ahead of the counting of Lok Sabha elections, officials said on Monday.

The process of counting of votes for the six Lok Sabha seats will be conducted on Tuesday at three locations, Goregaon East, Vikhroli and Nesco Exhibition Center in Sewri.

An official said that the police are keeping a strict vigil in the entire city.

Patrolling will be intensified at sensitive places and manpower will be deployed at certain points. Each counting center will be under the supervision of officers of the rank of an Additional Police Commissioner.

The official said the restrictions will be enforced within a 300-metre radius of counting centres, limiting the movement of unrelated individuals.
