Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India] A 38-year-old police constable posted at Shahu Nagar police station in Mumbai, Maharashtra committed suicide over issues with his wife, officials said on Saturday.
According to the police, constable Vijay Salunkhe was on leave since May 30 due to health reasons. On Friday evening, he was found hanging at his residence in Pratiksha Nagar area of Sion area.
After the information, a police team reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. Officials said a suicide note was also recovered from the spot in which Salunkhe allegedly talked about issues with his wife.
Wadala Truck Terminal police have registered the case and are investigating further.
