Seoni (MP), At least three male laborers were killed and four women injured after lightning struck them in Madhya Pradesh's Seoni district on Tuesday evening, police said.
The incident took place in Bakodi village of Bandol police station area, about 25 km from Seoni district headquarters.
Bandol police station in-charge Rajesh Dubey said that the incident occurred when some laborers and other people were loading stones on a tractor-trolley amid the rain.
He said that to avoid the rain, some workers took shelter under the tractor-trolley, while others were standing in the open.
Dubey said that three laborers standing near the trolley died after being hit by lightning that fell from the sky, while four women sitting under the trolley were injured and are undergoing treatment in the district hospital.
