Tikamgarh (Madhya Pradesh): Six policemen were suspended in Madhya Pradesh's Tikamgarh district after a gambling video surfaced on social media, an official said on Monday.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Rohit Kashwani said six constables posted at different police stations were suspended after the alleged video surfaced on Sunday evening.

He told that this action has been taken against constables Manoj Ahirwar, Ritesh Mishra and Suraj Rajput of Kotwali police station of the district, Bhuvneshwar Agnihotri and Anil Pachauri of Dehat police station and Salman Khan posted at Digora police station.

Kashwani said Additional Superintendent of Police Sitaram Satya is investigating to find out when and where the video was shot and whether other policemen were at the spot.

He said that such conduct tarnishes the reputation of the police department and further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
