The Chief Minister, while reviewing the status of revenue receipts for the year 2024-25 on Thursday, asked officials to adopt the best practices used by other states to collect revenue receipts.

Chief Minister Yadav emphasized that subject experts should be consulted and effective action plans should be prepared appropriately. "Maximum revenue receipts will help drive growth," he said.

Emphasizing the need to increase vigilance in stamp and registration, the Chief Minister said that it should be ensured that there is not much difference between the actual value of the land and the rate at which the registration is being done.

He said, "Surprise inspection related actions should be increased to prevent revenue loss in excise related activities and to ensure sale of goods as per rules."

The Chief Minister also directed the officials to identify the lands of revenue and other departments and ensure that there is no encroachment on them and to ensure that such lands are used as per their importance to increase revenue receipts.

"Drones and satellite surveys should be used to monitor whether mining activities are taking place in the area allotted for mining or not," he said. He said that businessmen in the mineral sector should be encouraged and mineral-based industries should be developed. A policy should be made to maximize industries.
