Chhindwara (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday met the family of CRPF jawan Kabir Das Uike, who was martyred during an anti-terrorist operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district recently.

Kabir Das Uike, a resident of Pulpuldoh village of Chhindwara, was seriously injured during an encounter in Saida Sukhal village on the evening of June 11. Despite efforts to save him, he died on 12 June.

Chief Minister Yadav arrived by helicopter at around 3.15 pm and directly reached Uike's residence. He spent about 15 minutes with the bereaved family and expressed his condolences and emotional support.Seeing the condition of the mother and wife of the deceased jawan, the Chief Minister became emotional and assured them of all possible help, who started crying after seeing him.

During his visit, Yadav announced compensation of Rs 1 crore for the family and promised a government job to one member of the family.

Other local public representatives also accompanied the Chief Minister during his visit.

Earlier in the day, the mortal remains of Kabir Das Uike were brought back to his hometown Chhindwara.

On Thursday, the mortal remains of the jawan reached Mungapar in the district (about 15 km from his village), where Minister of State Sampatia Uike, Chhindwara MP Vivek Bunty Sahu, local public representatives and others paid tribute to the jawan.After this the convoy reached the jawan's village where he was given a guard of honor and the last rites were performed with respect.

CRPF IG Gurushakti Singh Sodhi and CRPF DIG Neetu Singh, Chhindwara Collector Shailendra Singh, Superintendent of Police (SP) Manish Khatri were also present on this occasion.

Minister Sampatia Uike told reporters, “We have come here to pay tribute to CRPF jawan Kabir Das Uike, who lost his life in anti-terrorism operation in Jammu and Kashmir. I am present here as a representative of Madhya Pradesh government. I pray to God that the departed soul rest in peace and the family gets strength in this hour of grief.”

According to the information, Kabir Das Uike was the eldest of four siblings (two brothers and two sisters). His sisters are married and his younger brother is not married yet. The CRPF jawan is survived by his mother, wife and younger brother. The young man's father had passed away.

Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed an increase in violence with three significant attacks: Reasi terror attack, Kathua terror attack and Doda terror attack.The series of attacks began on June 9, when terrorists attacked a bus in Reasi, causing it to fall into a ditch. At least 9 pilgrims died and 42 others were injured in this tragic incident.

Days later, villagers in Kathua's Hiranagar area reported hearing gunshots on Tuesday.

After this, on the same night, a security check post was attacked in Chhatragala area.

The encounter in Doda was followed by an exchange of fire between terrorists and security forces, in which five soldiers and a sub-divisional special police officer were injured.
