Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Three children died and 12 fell ill in the last two days at Shri Yugpurush Dham Baudhik Vikas Kendra, a special school for specially-abled children, located in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh, said on Tuesday An official .

The sick children were admitted to the city's Chacha Nehru government hospital on Tuesday morning.

Getting information about the incident, District Collector Ashish Singh ordered an inquiry into the incident, following which ADM Rajendra Raghuvanshi and Food Department officials reached the ashram to investigate the matter.

ADM Raghuvanshi told ANI: "On Tuesday morning we received information that some children died and some were suffering from vomiting and diarrhea at Shri Yugpurush Dham Ashram here. The sick children were admitted to the hospital. A total of three children died till "One of them died on June 30 and two children on July 1. In addition, 12 children suffering from vomiting and diarrhea have been admitted to the Chacha Nehru hospital today."

"An investigation is underway into the matter and a team of doctors and food safety along with a team of municipal corporations were sent for the investigation. The Food Safety Department took the samples from the spot and after examination, they will determine the reason for the incident to be known," he added.

Autopsy of two children has been carried out and a detailed report is yet to come. After the detailed report, the real reason for the death will be determined, the officer said, adding that a total of 204 children lived here and after the death of three children, now there are 201 children left.

Collector Ashish Singh told ANI: "As soon as I came to know about 12 children who fell ill at the Shri Yugpurush Dham institution, they were immediately admitted to the Chacha Nehru Hospital. Furthermore, when the team along with ADM, CMHO and officials of the "The food department arrived at the scene and found that two children had died yesterday and one child died on June 30."

"An inquiry committee has been formed under the leadership of ADM which will investigate the post-mortem report and the conditions at the spot. Action will be taken after the inquiry report," he added.

The main objective at the moment is that the treatment of the admitted children is carried out correctly and that no other children are affected. The institution is managed by an NGO and children with disabilities and orphans lived here, the collector added.

On the other hand, Chacha Nehru Hospital Superintendent Dr Preeti Malpani told ANI: "12 children came to our hospital this morning from an ashram, located on Panchkuiya Road in the city. They are suffering from vomiting and diarrhea since yesterday night. ., these children are handicapped, visually impaired and mentally abnormal."

All the children were dehydrated and the condition of two children was critical. They are all in treatment. 11 children are between 12 and 15 years old and one child is five years old, she added.
