New Delhi [India], Following the death of over 40 people in a fire in Kuwait City, Indian Ambassador to Kuwait Adarsh ​​Swaika visited Al-Adan Hospital, where over 30 Indian workers are being treated.

The ambassador said that more than 30 Indian workers were injured in the fire incident.

The Indian Embassy in Kuwait shared on Twitter, "Ambassador @AdarshSwaika visited Al-Adan Hospital, where over 30 Indian workers injured in today's fire incident have been admitted. He met several patients and Assured him of full assistance from the Embassy."

"Hospital authorities have described the condition of almost everyone as stable," he said.

The ambassador also visited Farwaniya Hospital, where six workers injured in the fire incident, most likely to be Indians, were admitted.

Of those six, hospital officials confirmed that four of them have been discharged, one has been shifted to Zahra Hospital and the condition of one in the ward is now stable.

"Ambassador @AdarshSwaika1 visited Farwaniya Hospital, where 6 workers injured in today's fire incident, mostly Indians, were admitted. Hospital officials confirmed that 4 of them have been released. 1 have been shifted to Zahra Hospital and 1 is in the ward and is reportedly stable," the embassy reported.
