Talking to ANI, Mumbai Regional Meteorological Center director Sunil Kamble said, "There is a possibility of heavy rain in Mumbai today. We have issued a yellow alert for Mumbai. There will be light to moderate rain in Mumbai for 2-3 days. "Orange and yellow alerts have been issued for some districts of central Maharashtra...Heavy rain is likely in the ghat areas."

Citing the data, Kamble said: "Mumbai has received around 550 millimeters of rain, which is 200 to 300 millimeters less than usual. As per the June rainfall data, Mumbai's figures are lower while the weather is good and as per expectations. for the rest of Maharashtra."

Predicting about July, Kumble said, "July has already started but heavy rain is unlikely in the next two to three days although there is an orange alert in some districts of the ghat areas.
