According to the IMD, conditions are favorable for further advance of Monsoon into remaining parts of Karnataka and Coastal Andhra Pradesh, some more parts of Maharashtra (including Mumbai), some parts of Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Odisha and some more parts of the Arabian Sea. And West Bengal during the next 3-4 days.
IMD said heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Maharashtra and coastal Karnataka from June 8.
The IMD has also predicted that rain is likely to continue over northwest India till June 7, and heat wave is likely over parts of East India, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh during the next five days.
