Bhopal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a rally in Pipariya town of Narmadapuram district of Madhya Pradesh on the birth anniversary of B Ambedkar on April 14.

Narmadapuram, earlier known as Hoshangabad, is part of the Hoshangabad Lok Sabha constituency.

State BJ said Modi will address a meeting in Pipariya town at around 11.45 am.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said, "We are fortunate that Prime Minister B Ambedkar is coming to Madhya Pradesh on the occasion of his birth anniversary. His arrival will fill us with energy, enthusiasm and new strength in the current election period."

He said that BJP is continuously moving forward in the direction of social harmony on the path shown by the creator of the Constitution, Ambedkar.

Notably, the opposition has been alleging that the BJP is seeking a huge mandate in the elections because it wants to destroy the Constitution.

Hitting back at the opposition, Modi said on April 12 that his government respects the Constitution and now even Baba Saheb Ambedkar will not be able to abolish it.

Addressing an election rally in Rajasthan, Modi had said, "For the government, the Constitution is Geeta, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bible and Quran. For us, the Constitution is everything."

BJP has fielded newcomer Darshan Singh against Congress candidate and former MLA Sanjay Sharma from Hoshangabad, Madhya Pradesh.

Voting will be held in Hoshangabad on 26 April.
