Kota, a NEET aspirant who went missing from Kota on May 6, was found by his father at a railway station in Goa. With only Rs 11,000 in his pocket, the 19-year-old spent days traveling on trains, often without tickets.

Rajendra Prasad Meena had raised the money by selling his books, mobile phone and two bicycles, his uncle said.

Police had said that a day after appearing for the competitive medical exam, Meena sent a text message to his parents on May 6 that he did not want to study further and was leaving home for five years.

Meena said he had Rs 8,000 and would contact his family if needed.The family of the NEET candidate has alleged that the Kota Police did not make efforts to trace the youth.

Meena's uncle Mathura Lal said on Friday that the Kota police did not even step out of the city to search for the boy and showed negligence in locating him technically.

He said the family formed four teams, each consisting of three family members, to search for the young man since the day he went missing.

According to her family, after her poor performance in the NEET exam, Meena sold her phone and left Kota on May 6. He boarded a train for Pune, where he stayed for two days.In Pune, Lal said, he bought a second-hand mobile phone for Rs 1,500, took a SIM using his Aadhar card and then went to Amritsar, where he visited the Golden Temple, after which he went to Vaishno Devi in ​​Jammu.

The uncle alleged that if the Kota police had made efforts, they would have found him in Pune when the boy found the SIM, which was linked to his Aadhaar card.

From Jammu, Meena went to Agra and saw the Taj Mahal, then boarded a train to Jagannath Puri Dham in Odisha. He then went to Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu and then to Kerala where he visited Kanniyakumari and Thiruvananthapuram, Meena's family said.

He then went to Goa, where his father Jagdish Prasad found him at Margao railway station on Wednesday morning when he was about to board a train, his uncle said.

During this time, medical candidates were traveling in general coaches of trains without purchasing tickets.He also managed to save Rs 6,000.

Meena's family had lodged a missing report at Vigyan Nagar police station in Kota.

Meanwhile, Vigyan Nagar Circle Inspector Satish Choudhary said on Friday that police teams have been sent to various suspected locations along with the family members.

A police team along with the boy's father stayed in Mumbai while the father and two cousins ​​went to Goa to search for Meena and found her at Margao Railway Station, he said, adding that the youth was handed over to the family.

The uncle said, "Meena was unrecognizable but when her father called her, she naturally responded immediately."

He said the family checked CCTV footage at public places and railway stations in the respective directions and confirmed Meena's activity.Now, he said, he has asked the boy to do whatever he wants and stay at home
