Thane: A hospital on Mira Road in Thane district received an email containing a bomb threat on Monday, however, it was declared a hoax after the police conducted a thorough search of the premises. An officer gave this information.
He said the search was carried out by various units of the Mira Bhayandar Vasai Virar (MBVV) police, including bomb detection and disposal as well as dog squads.
"The hospital was cordoned off during a search following a bomb threat email. Nothing suspicious was found during an extensive search. It was a hoax and we allowed the facility to return to normal functioning after two hours. "Efforts are underway to trace the sender of the email." ," He added.
